second, a voice mail recording once left for susan.
this wasn't my fault. in fact, i helped her get the guy
off the phone in the first place by keeping the line busy
so he had to leave this message.
i think she's mad that i still keep this up on the page after three and a
half years, but i still find it almost unbearably funny.

and, third, something that we found on our answering machine at
ossipee this february. we have no explanation for it; what you hear is
all we know. it actually spans nine messages, but i guess
really it should only count as one. (note that the seemingly random keytones
in the background are actually in the pattern of our phone number.)
it's 13 MB, so it's really only worth it if you're on a T1 or are really into
weird answering machine messages.
